Maan for Relief and Development, it is an independent, non-profit organization concerned with serving Syrians inside Syria, Turkey, and in countries of asylum, by carrying out development roles in the social, health, and educational fields.
Our mission is to provide hope and essential support to those who need it the most: children, women, and the elderly. In regions affected by conflict, poverty, or natural disasters, these groups are often the most vulnerable. We focus on delivering food, healthcare, education, and shelter to ensure their safety, health, and well-being. By joining us, you can help empower women, protect children’s futures, and honor our elders, giving them the dignity and care they deserve. Together, we can create a compassionate community that cares for all ages and stages of life.
Maan for Relief and Development is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to serving Syrians in Syria, Turkey, and countries of asylum. Maan focuses on development in social, health, and educational sectors, aiming to support vulnerable populations, including orphans, internally displaced persons, and individuals with special needs, to improve their quality of life and opportunities.
The Excellence in Educational Sponsorship Project is a key initiative that supports orphans and children with special needs by providing them with educational opportunities. It targets intelligent students who lack access to schooling due to their circumstances. Located in Northern Syria (Idlib – Sarmada), the project offers funding to cover education, uniforms, and transportation fees for one academic year, with a goal to sponsor 200 students at a cost of $1,000 per student.
Students are admitted through a two-stage assessment process. First, they undergo an aptitude test at school. If they pass, Maan conducts field visits to evaluate each student’s living conditions and family background to ensure the sponsorship reaches those in need.
Yes, Maan for Relief and Development is a registered nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-exempt. Donors in the USA can request a tax receipt, and all donations are securely managed through licensed bank accounts.
Maan facilitates direct communication between sponsors and the sponsored orphans. Additionally, the organization conducts monthly follow-ups with each family to monitor their progress, ensuring transparency and ongoing support for the children’s educational and personal development.
